AND Desktop can be operated in three different deployments. Depending on your networking environment you can select the proper method for your deployment. Please note that the available functionality depends on the chosen method as well.

Connecting AND Desktop directly to the IP Phone or the Unified CallManager does not require any additional server setup but is limited to dedicated PC licenses.

Connecting AND Desktop through the AND Phone Application Server needs an additional server but offers centralized management and licensing as well as integration with additional services of the AND Phone Application Server, like directory lookup or call recording.
